Since 1999, 3 Udders has had a special place in my heart. From the early days when we were putting together cartoonlagoon.com which was meant to help young Artists have a place to showcase their work, or booking a show for a relatively unknown band to play on stage with a world class band. 3 Udders, to me, meant helping people. It meant being there when no one else would be. It also meant being an honest voice in a crowd of dishonesty.

I now realize how futile my efforts have been and that I've been missing important milestones with my kids for no good reason. No one asked me to take up this fight, I simply took it upon myself to fill a void that I felt was so enormous that it needed to be filled by the voice of an advocate who could devote real change in the music industry. What I discovered was that the music industry doesn't want to be saved. Instead, I found that the music industry wants to keep chugging along in a way that is self-destructive until every last music fan is so sick and tired of it that they either simply give up, or they find themselves so frustrated that they become self-destructive themselves.

So as of today, 3 Udders is no more. I cannot continue to work on something that I feel is pointing me face first into a brick wall. To those that have helped us over the years I cannot thank you enough. I regret nothing and will cherish the friendships that I have made over the years. I've made some life-long friends doing this and that to me was worth all of the heartache and all of the aggravation.

I will continue to be a part of the creative process in some way. It will just be a more simple approach to my own creative process.

To those bands that have unfinished business with 3 Udders, trust that it will get resolved. I've always maintained that I am a man of my word and you will see closure. To those bands who have helped shaped this company into something more than just a silly name, I will continue to be your biggest fan. There are so many talented musicians who have tremendous heart and integrity, and those are the people I'm most thankful for.

I've learned so much during this time and will take that experience with me always. If you have any questions about what happened and why this is all coming to an end, I'm happy to answer any questions.

Cheers!

Humbly yours,

Joshua Carter
